500 MILES
Teenager Finn (Roman Griffin Davis, "Jojo Rabbit") and his younger brother Charlie (Dexter Sol Ansell, "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms") run away from home to avoid separation after their parents' separation. Their destination is the wild west coast of Ireland and the home of their beloved grandfather John (Bill Nighy, "Love Actually")—the last safe haven in their crumbling world. Ahead of them lies a 500-mile journey, during which they must rely on their wits, charm, and the kindness of the people they meet—especially the free-spirited street musician Kait (Maisie Williams, "Game of Thrones"). "500 Miles" is more than just a road movie, however. It's an honest, unflinching, and deeply reflective story about family, hope, and the need for closeness, which takes on a new meaning in the finale and makes you think back to the opening scenes after watching it.
