After her mother's death, Elsa, a commercial director, immersed herself in her work, trying to cope with the loss. When severe migraines forced her to pause, she decided to travel to Lanzarote during the long Constitution Day weekend of 2004. Her friend Patricia accompanied her, while her partner, Bonifacio, a stripper and firefighter, remained in Madrid. Seeking creative inspiration, Elsa began to draw inspiration from the personal dramas of those around her, using them as material for her work.
